Based in Chicago, I am a painter and drawer exploring the human form, portraiture, and the gaze through various mediums—ink, charcoal, pastel, oil, and acrylic—often combining them to enrich expression. My work is rooted in an interest in the unconscious, with a particular focus on eyes and the act of seeing as a window to inner emotions and unspoken thoughts.
I observe the act of viewing from an external perspective, aiming to express the inner emotions that emerge through lingering gazes or subconscious reflections. By playing with lines and rhythm, I aim to evoke curiosity and stimulate emotional and subconscious responses.
